GENERAL MEETING SET FOR OCTOBER 31

Dear Associates. The Association's Executive Board will be meeting on Saturday 31, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Autumn Leaves bookstore's Café. We have decided to meet at this place since it is quiet, convenient and easy to get there for every one.

 ******The Café's administration prefers that people do not bring food from other places and buy them there****** 

Please let us know whether you are attending the meeting. If you are unable to do it, let us know in what capacity you are interested in participating.

If you have any thing to add to the Agenda or questions please let us know.

Agenda:

1.-     Get members and prospective members to become more involved.

2.-    Reading and review of the Association's Bylaws for every one to be knowledgeable of the

         Association's Mission.

3.-      Develop a specific/concrete goal for the next 3, 6 and 12 months: i.e. apply for grants that

          could enable us to open an office, staff it, and provide a formal/specific program to our

          community. i.e opening a cultural center, for a variety of

          activities with which our Latino community would feel identified  .

4.-    Develop a perspective or a common ground understanding about national issues such us

         Immigration and Health Reform to guide our future activities.

5.-    Set a monthly or bimonthly meeting to talk about the Association's business and to develop

        a closer camaraderie among our members.

6.-    Elect new Executive Board.

I will be sending a reminder prior to the date of the meeting.
